The Chino Airport Layout Plan (ALP) Update illustrates a comprehensive 20-year vision for the future development of Chino Airport (CNO).
As a high-activity general aviation reliever airport within the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems, Chino Airport supports a broad mix of aircrafts, from small single-engine planes to large business jets.
This ALP Update was finalized in April 2024 and evaluates the airport’s existing facilities, forecasts aviation demand, and recommends improvements in alignment with updated FAA design standards. The update was developed to support economic growth in the region, accommodate increased aeronautical activity, and address the airport’s evolving operations.
As part of the ALP Update, a 20-year Capital Improvement Program (CIP) for Chino Airport has been designed to guide the airport’s long-term growth, safety, and operational efficiency. The program reflects a phased development strategy addressing both airside and landside needs.
This strategic infrastructure investment ensures the Chino Airport will continue to serve as a vital regional aviation hub for generations.
